Sense Medical, the official distributor of Canon Medical Eyecare in the UK and Ireland, and NEC Software Solutions announce co-sponsorship of the 22nd Annual BARS Conference taking place on 26-27th September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Liverpool.
NEC and Sense Medical will be sponsoring the AV visuals throughout the conference and also the drinks reception taking place on Thursday 26th September.
Sponsorship of the 22nd Annual BARS conference comes off the back of the hugely successful Sense Medical UK Roadshow which took place in February 2024. The Sense Medical Roadshow van visited diabetic eye screening programmes across the UK offering NHS screening staff the opportunity to experience the powerful combination of SD-OCT and unsurpassed HD32 mega pixel Colour Fundus Camera combination made by Canon – the Xephilio OCT-R1.
The combination of OCT and high-definition retinal camera in the Xephilio OCT-R1 makes it an ideal solution for screening programmes with high volume patients. The OCT-R1 offers a large and high-quality OCT scan up to 14.7 x 13.4 mm, with a 32.5 MP resolution and specific algorithm processes in the 32 mega pixel EOS for optimal ophthalmic imaging.
NEC work closely with Sense Medical providing software integration with the OCT-R1 through their diabetic eye screening software, OptoMize. supporting over 75% of NHS programmes in England.
